I love making my own leave ins because I can tweak it to my liking and never panic when it gets finished because the combos and choices are endless.

A leave in conditioner/spray/spritz is a water based hair product that keeps the hair moisturized. It is essential for all naturals especially those with dry hair.

This is a very effective natural hair leave in conditioner recipe for naturals with dry hair because glycerin is great for those whose hair gets dry easily or doesn’t hold moisture well.

Why?

Glycerin is a humectantwhich means it’s attracts and holds onto moisture (water). It can also draw in moisture from the atmosphere if used in high humidity conditions (eg spring and summer) so use less then. If using in low humidity (winter), use more.

How to make this simple glycerin spritz for dry hair

Ingredients:

Olive oil

Glycerin

Water

Steps:

Pour 1/2 cup of water, 1 tbsp of glycerin and 2 tbsp of olive oil into a spray bottle and shake.

Do a patch test on your hair and adjust the ingredients to your liking if you wish.
